Celebrating the Songbook of Oscar Brown Jr. - and the Album His Legacy Inspired
To Oscar With Love
Join Amber on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, California, as she brings Oscar Brown Jr.’s singular voice to life just ahead of his centennial birthday.
Emceeing the evening is James Janisse of KJMJ Radio, and joining Amber onstage are Tony Campodonico on piano, Edwin Livingston on bass, Fritz Wise on drums, and Tom Luer on saxophone/flute and special guest, Adam “Aejaye” Jackson.
From Brown’s sharp, playful wordplay to his deeply human ballads, Amber honors a legacy that has never felt more alive or more necessary.

Critics and Fans Have Spoken
Amber Weekes is one of those about whom neither enough nor too much can be said. She is bluesy, sensual, sassy, jazzy and spiritual.
Her voice is as soft as a pillow
Her voice is strong, and her phrasing just flows like syrup on hot pancakes.
